Market access is increasingly divided. Established international borrowers still enjoy strong demand and competitive pricing. Less familiar and more leveraged names face higher costs, tighter terms and closer scrutiny.
Diversification takes commitment. European and Chinese investors offer real opportunities, but a one-off appearance won't build a dependable funding channel. Scale, repeat issuance and continued engagement will.
Brazil needs more genuinely long-term capital. Growth in domestic credit funds hasn't delivered the patient funding that infrastructure requires, and high sovereign yields remain a powerful competing attraction.
Data centres need a credible refinancing route. Banks are willing to lend, but a future capital-market take-out depends on guarantees, disclosure and ratings being agreed upfront.
Confidence rests on cash flows and creditor protection. After recent credit disappointments, investors want to see the full capital structure, and to know that security can actually be enforced.
One lesson stood out: different markets can assess the same borrower very differently. A transaction that is difficult in one format may be achievable in another. For funding teams, flexibility has never been more valuable.
