Shubir Kimatrai - Schonfeld

Portfolio Manager

Shubir is a Portfolio Manager at Schonfeld Strategic Advisors (a global multi-manager with over $13bn of assets under management). He joined Schonfeld's DIFC office in October 2023, within their newly launched Delta One & Emerging Markets business to lead a fundamentally driven investment process for both listed equities and new issuance across the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Prior to joining Schonfeld, Shubir spent seven years as Assistant Portfolio Manager & Senior Investment Analyst for Cheyne Capital's EMEA Fund (formerly Jabre Capital EMEA Fund) also based in Dubai since 2016. He began his career in London working with Morgan Stanley from 2004–2009, and UBS Investment Bank from 2009–2016 where he also specialised in Emerging Market equities. Shubir holds a BSc. (Hons) in International Business & Spanish from the University of Bath, UK.
