In September 2009, amidst the shifting dynamics post-Financial Crisis, Alex founded GFC, noticing a significant trend: companies were transitioning their capital financing from loans to bonds, prompting closer collaboration between banks' loans and bonds teams. GFC debuted its inaugural Bonds & Loans event in June 2010 in Dubai, drawing nearly 180 key players from the capital markets.  By 2023, the Dubai event was attracting over 1,500 attendees, and annually, more than 5,000 senior banking and markets professionals gather at GFC’s five events across Dubai, Riyadh, Miami, Istanbul, and Cape Town.  In 2024, Alex spearheaded a successful management buyout of GFC and took the helm as CEO of Turnmill. Before launching GFC, Alex gained diverse experience in media, research, and events. He holds a degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Durham.

Victoria is a senior executive with over 25 years’ international experience in financial media and events. She is currently Managing Director of Global Banking & Markets, the leading emerging markets events business for wholesale financiers.

Previously Victoria was at Euromoney Institutional Investor, where for 20 years she worked in senior positions at: Euromoney Conferences; Euromoney Magazine; GlobalCapital and Petroleum Economist. This followed an early career with the CWC Group covering the oil, gas and infrastructure markets, and with the policy team of a national children’s charity.

Aveen Prasad is a dynamic leader in the world of media and events, with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation. As a Managing Director of Global Banking & Markets, Aveen brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent over a decade specialising in global emerging markets and investment banking media and events.

Aveen is involved in the business’ strategy and execution globally as well as overseeing the smooth running of the business day-to-day. He has been part of the leadership team that has transformed Global Banking & Markets from start-up to market leader specialising in providing insightful content, delivering 1-2-1 meetings and organising premier marketplace events across emerging markets. With a global reach, Global Banking & Markets connects financial institutions, investors, issuers and professionals through its platforms, delivering valuable industry insights, networking and business development opportunities. Within his role he regularly advises sovereigns, government entities, corporates and financial institutions on strategy, client engagement and messaging across global emerging markets. Prior to his time in London, Aveen was based in Sydney and specialised in original equipment manufacturing.

Rebecca is a results-driven Chief Operating Officer with a proven track record in the events industry. She excels in optimising operations, streamlining logistics, and driving strategic growth.

Passionate about efficiency and excellence, she ensures seamless event execution, from planning to delivery. With a focus on innovation, team leadership, and customer experience, she plays a key role in scaling events and maximizing impact.

Jessica is a vibrant Marketing Director with a passion for creating impactful brand experiences in the events industry. With over 12 years of Marketing experience, she specialises in strategic marketing, audience engagement, and driving attendance through innovative campaigns. Known for blending creativity with data-driven insights.
