Mr. Yalcin Nak, is a 1988 Honor List graduate of Bosphorus University Industrial Engineering program. Started his career at Procter & Gamble Turkey as Production Planning Engineer. To pursue an MBA degree abroad, received merit scholarships from three distinctive institutions, namely American Fulbright Foundation, Turkish Education Foundation (TEV) and Procter&Gamble International Scholarship Program. Studied at Northwestern University's J. L. Kellogg School of Business located in Chicago and received his MBA degree in 1991. Rejoined Procter & Gamble at the company’s German Headquarters, worked there till end 1995 and gained experience in Brand Management, Marketing and Product Planning. Then returned to Turkey, joined McKinsey at its Istanbul Office start-up as a Senior Engagement Manager and served there till end 2001. During McKinsey years, took leadership roles in several business building and restructuring projects in a variety of sectors and client environments. Served as the Turkish Office Director of PwC Consulting during 2002-2003. In 2004 joined Memorial Healthcare Group, a growing private hospitals group in Turkey as CEO and Executive Board Member. In 2007 joined Acibadem Healthcare Group, the leading private hospitals group in Turkey reporting directly to Mr. M. Ali Aydinlar, the Founder, Chairman and CEO of the Group and served as the COO till mid 2013. At this post, he held P&L responsibility of all the hospital operations and oversaw growth of the Group from 6 hospitals and 6 clinics to 16 hospitals and 12 clinics; from 1,000 to 2,200 beds capacity and from 5,000 to 12,000 employees. Contributed significantly to the growth of the Group’s revenue by 2.5x and Ebitda by 4.0x in USD terms within 4 years. In May 2013 co-founded Taxim Capital, Turkey’s 4th independent private equity fund investing in fast growing Turkish SMEs. In November 2023 co-founded Alkima Partners, Turkey’s 5th independent private equity fund and asset management platform focusing on high potential Turkish SMEs. Born in 1965, married and father of a son, speaks fluent English and intermediate German.
