Sarah Leshner Carvalho is an Emerging Markets Fixed Income investor at Capital Group. She was previously Managing Director, Head of Latin American Corporate Credit Research at Barclays, and prior to that, she was the Head of Latin American Corporate Credit Research at HSBC. She has extensive experience investing in emerging markets, including social impact investing and microfinance. Previous roles include Senior Investment Analyst at Blue Orchard Finance, Office of the President at Women’s World Banking and adjunct faculty member at NYU. She holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a Master’s Degree in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
