Current Responsibilities Currently, she is serving as Director External Debt at the Debt Management Office, Ministry of Finance, where she leads Pakistan’s external debt management and sovereign financing strategy. Her responsibilities include identifying and structuring diverse external financing avenues to meet the country’s financing requirements. She also oversees financing gap analysis and medium-term external borrowing strategy to ensure timely and cost-effective mobilization of external resources. Work Experience She has over 14 years of professional experience across sovereign debt management, central banking, capital markets regulation, treasury management, investment banking, and credit risk analysis. Her career includes senior roles at the State Bank of Pakistan, SECP, JS Bank, Bank AL Habib, AWT Investments, Security Papers Limited, and PACRA, where she worked extensively on debt markets, financial sector regulation, treasury operations, policy development, and investment strategy. She is currently serving as Director External Debt at the Debt Management Office, Ministry of Finance, where she leads Pakistan’s external debt management and sovereign financing strategy. Her work focuses on mobilizing external financing through diverse instruments including Panda Bonds, GMTN programme issuances, sovereign private placements, syndicated financing, and sustainable financing solutions. She also leads financing gap analysis and medium-term external borrowing strategy to ensure efficient and timely access to international capital markets in support of Pakistan’s fiscal and external financing needs.
