With over 15 years of continuous experience in the financial sector, Asma is a highly skilled and seasoned finance professional specializing in overseeing public shareholding companies' IPOs, establishment of PJSC, and it's listing in the UAE financial market. Asma is currently the Head of the Corporate Finance Department at the Securities and Commodities Authority, a position held since 2017. In this role, Asma directs and supervises the evaluation and approval processes for establishing or transforming public shareholding companies, SPACs including reviewing of offering prospectuses, registration and listing process to ensures compliance with SCA and financial market requirements Additionally, Asma manages the approval process for corporate actions such as capital adjustments, share offerings, and the issuance of incentive programs for employees in public joint stock companies. Asma holds an MBA Concentrated in Finance from United Arab Emirates University, A Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Zayed University and Public Sector Innovation Diploma from University of Cambridge Judge Business School In addition to Asma professional roles, Asma has been actively involved in several key teams and committees, including the Innovation and Service Development Team and the Digital Transformation Team. Asma has contributed significantly to designing integrated strategies for innovation and digital transformation, aligning them with the Authority's strategic directions and government directives. Additionally, Asma oversaw several transformational projects for the Authority, which contributed to the national economy, such as the regulatory framework for green bonds and sukuk.
